Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer
  • Cookie scoop
  • Wire rack

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup 113g unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup 100g granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup 100g brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups 180g all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup 170g chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Mix Dough: In a large bowl, cream the butter and both sugars. Beat in the egg and vanilla. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Chill Dough: Scoop the dough into tablespoon-sized balls. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  • Preheat & Arrange: Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C). Place the chilled cookie dough balls in the basket on parchment paper, leaving ample space between them.
  • Air Fry: Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set but still look soft.
  • Cool & Enjoy: Let the cookies cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Chilling is Key: Don't skip chilling the dough, as it prevents the cookies from spreading too much.
  • Don't Overbake: The cookies will continue to set as they cool, so remove them when they still look slightly soft in the center for a chewy final product.
