Cuisine American
- 1/2 cup 113g unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup 100g granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup 100g brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups 180g all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup 170g chocolate chips
Mix Dough: In a large bowl, cream the butter and both sugars. Beat in the egg and vanilla. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Chill Dough: Scoop the dough into tablespoon-sized balls. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
Preheat & Arrange: Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C). Place the chilled cookie dough balls in the basket on parchment paper, leaving ample space between them.
Air Fry: Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set but still look soft.
Cool & Enjoy: Let the cookies cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.
-
Chilling is Key: Don't skip chilling the dough, as it prevents the cookies from spreading too much.
-
Don't Overbake: The cookies will continue to set as they cool, so remove them when they still look slightly soft in the center for a chewy final product.
